Clarence Robert Stepina, age 87, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:06 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL. He was born June 6, 1929 in Chicago, IL the son of Frank Augusta Stepina and Edna Mae Spitz Stepina.
Survivors include his children, Robert (Donna) Stepina of Sarasota, FL; Eric (Nicole) Stepina of Casey, IL; Kurt (Ramona) Stepina of Sarasota, FL; Anthony (Lynette) Stepina of Charleston, IL; Candace (Richard) Leonetti of Westfield, IL and Nancy Stepina of Westfield, IL; sister, Dorothy Simon of Miami, FL; mother of his children, Norma Stepina of Westfield, IL; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Clarence was a US Navy and Army Korean war veteran. He was employed as an over the road union truck driver for over thirty-five years.
Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in the Vernon Addition Cemetery, Casey, IL with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating. The Casey VFW, Hazel Dell American Legion and Martinsville American Legion will provide military rites. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the cemetery.
