Obituary for Marie Beatrice Gaines

Marie Beatrice Gaines, age 92, of Marshall, IL formerly of the Joliet, IL area passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Burnsides Nursing Home in Marshall, IL. She was born February 27, 1924 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Peter Bruno and Veronica Lehner Bruno. On October 16, 1941 she married Granville William Gaines in Joliet, IL. He passed away in June of 1979.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Bishop and husband Norman of Marshall, IL and Sherry Woodmancy and husband Ray of Marshall, IL; brother, Bill Gaines of Indiana; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Peter Bruno and Charles Bruno and sister, Dorothy Skala.

Mrs. Gaines was a devoted and faithful member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall, IL. She was a homemaker and a retired restaurant worker.

A graveside service and burial will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL.
