The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Everett Brock can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Take your own advise!

Somewhere back in the eighties, the exact year escapes me, I was living with Everett and Dee south of Martinsville. Everett stated he wanted to go to school but was concerned he couldn't afford it. I told Everett if you wait until you can afford to go to school you will never go! You sometimes in life just have to make sacrifices for the things you want. Shortly after Everett enrolled at Lincoln Trail College.Everett was taking an Algebra class and one day he was struggling with the course material. I agreed to help him with the class. I remember Everett asking how come I don't go to school. I told Everett I couldn't afford to go. Everett told me, and I quote," a very wise person once told me if you wait until you can afford to go you will never go!" It was a slap in the face! It helped to motivate me to enroll in school and persue my education. I owe an awful lot to Everett, Floyd, Dewey, and Christine who all made sacrifices to help me through my journey in this life. May God bless them all!
