Obituary for Gannon Nicholas Boles

Gannon Nicholas Boles
Gannon Nicholas Boles, age 11, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 in rural Clark County, IL. He was born October 28, 2004 in Carmel, IN, the son of Nicholas Landon Boles and Amanda Marie Reed Boles

Gannon is survived by his loving parents, Nick and Mandy Boles of Casey, IL; his brother and best friend, Gunnar Boles of Casey, IL; maternal grandparents, Gene and Rita Reed of Casey, IL; paternal grandparents, Andrea Jones of Pendleton, IN and Charles and Becky Boles of Anderson, IN; uncles and aunt, Gina and Brent Ritter of Casey, IL; Angela and Trent White of Avon, IN; Natalie Boles of Pendleton, IN and Matt and Grace Boles of Anderson, IN; cousins, Whitney and Brandon Ritter, Austin and Tyler White and Hattie and Beck Sebastian; many additional family members and wonderful friends.

Gannon was a student at Monroe Elementary in Casey, Illinois having just completed the 5th grade. His light from within shone bright and it is only fitting he has been taken to be with the Lord. Gannon was a very vivacious child. He had a passion for people and a very inquisitive intellect with diverse interests. His smile and charm could light up a room and captivate the hearts of those who met him. His faith was strong as well as his desire to know the Lord and help reach others. Gannon was an animal lover and had an indescribable way with God’s creatures. He adored holding and playing with babies and younger children and it was such a special sight to see. Playing sports was near and dear to his heart and truly loved being with his friends. He was involved in basketball, football, baseball and played the trumpet in band. At the age of 4, Gannon began his baseball career and he truly had a love for the game. He was a very versatile player and especially loved the thrill of stealing bases and having fans at the edge of their seats. Gannon stole many hearts in his short lifetime as well as bases so it is only fitting that he stole Paradise at such a young age. He will forever be in the hearts of many and with the Lord for eternity.

A Celebration of Gannon’s Life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Penelope H. Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N. IL Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
