Dennis Lee Morgan, 56, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born September 6, 1959 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of James Pierce Morgan and Velma Mae Edwards Morgan.
Survivors include his dad, Jim Morgan of Casey, IL; sister, Lorinda Weaver and husband Jeff of Indianapolis, IN; niece, Sabrina Elder and husband Bobby of New Castle, IN; nephew, Kyle Weaver and wife Candice of New Castle, IN; aunt, June Burrus and husband Lowell of Peru, IN and three great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
Dennis was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School. He worked for Walmart in Marshall, IL handling their general maintenance inside and outside of the store. Dennis was a gun enthusiast. He was a quiet man of few words. If he liked you well enough, he would share his funny and unique dry sense of humor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Sims officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
