Jeffery “Jeff” Scott Lawrence, 45, of Martinsville, IL formerly of Brazil, IN passed away on Sunday evening at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born January 13, 1970 in Brazil, IN the son of Leonard Lee Lawrence and Linda Kay Hamm Lawrence. On November 2, 1991 he married Melissa Jane Ferguson in Brazil, IN.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Lawrence of Martinsville, IL; children, Toni Ferguson, Harlie Lawrence, Dusty Lawrence and Calvin Lawrence all of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Tamara, Xzaiver and Logan Mayer of Martinsville, IL; mother, Linda Lawrence; brothers, Denver (Tammy) Lawrence and George (Sarah) Lawrence; paternal grandfather, Glen Lawrence all of Brazil, IN, nieces, nephews, many cousins and his favorite little Chorkie dog, Missy Bug. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Lee Lawrence; paternal grandmother, Rosanne Lawrence and maternal grandparents, Herman and Thelma O’Dell Hamm.
Jeff was a graduate of Northview High School in Brazil, IN. He previously worked as a glass cutter at Simonton Windows in Paris, IL. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting and especially camping with his children. He was an animal lover; he always planted a garden and would collect and make bird houses of all shapes and sizes. Jeff was a “Jack of all trades” and could fix just about anything. Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Solorio officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
