Harold Cleo Johnson Jr., 75, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:16 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. He was born July 27, 1939 in Lawton, OK the son of Harold Cleo Johnson Sr. and Wanda Virginia Hornbeck Johnson Tuck.
Survivors include daughter, Patty Larrison of Casey, IL; son, Harold C. Johnson III and wife Laura of Casey, IL; brothers, Donnie Tuck and wife Ellie of Lawton, OK and Jimmy Johnson of Walters, OK; sisters, Sue Lanier and husband Kim of Edmond, Oklahoma and Mary Webster and husband Steve of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Dery; Ashley Miller and husband Zach; Kyra Totten; Brittany Martin; Brandi Martin; Kasey Johnson; Kylee Johnson and great grandchildren, Aunika Helmuth; Jaxson Miller; Viola Miller; Landon Leonetti; Olivia Dery and Kadence Tingley. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry Nelson Johnson, Carl Price Johnson and great granddaughter, Addison Leighann Stumpf.
Harold was a US Navy Vietnam veteran. He worked as a salesperson selling modular homes for many years. He served as the first umpire at the Casey Trucker’s baseball diamond. Harold enjoyed umpiring, coaching baseball, watching football and fishing. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
