Ladena Kay West, 65, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born on July 24, 1949 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Bobby Dean Scott, Sr. and Violet Germaine Holland Scott.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Wallace of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Tamara Mullen and husband Deric of Martinsville, IL and Tracey Boone of Martinsville, IL; son, James West and companion Kandy of Martinsville, IL; stepson, William Dean Wallace and wife Kim of College Station, TX; stepdaughter, Rebecca Orndorff and husband Art of Martinsville, IL; brothers, Bob D. Scott, Jr. and wife Kathy of Effingham, IL and Dwayne Scott and wife Angie of Salem, IL; sisters, Danetta Clark and husband Gary of Edgewood, IL, Rita Felty and husband Alan of Beecher City, IL, Rhonda Schonschack and husband Dail of Beecher City, IL, Barb Hardin and husband Corey of Martinsville, IL and Marsha Bryant and husband Raymond of Pueblo, CO; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and brother, Bradley D. Scott.
Ladena was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. Ladena was an excellent cook and previously worked as a grill cook at Bobber Truck Stop. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Art Orndorff officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
