Pauline Violet (Earlywine) Jodry, 95, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born July 17, 1918 in Seeleyville, IN, the daughter of William W. Earlywine and Maude Jane Albright Earlywine. On March 24, 1940 she married James William Jodry in Martinsville, IL. He passed away in August 1984.
Survivors include son, Johnie E. Jodry and wife Jane of Martinsville, IL; son, Billie Ray Jodry and wife Nancy of Casey, IL; daughter, Diane Turner and husband Darrell of Palestine, IL; sister, Opal Kwazolla of Covington, KY; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Linda Jodry Smith; brothers, Marvin, Charles, Rex, Raymond, Walter and Virgil Earlywine; sister, Clara Belle Buckle and great grandson, Scott Eugene Siverly.
Mrs. Jodry was retired from TRW in Marshall, IL. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. Pauline was a member of the Saturday morning coffee club, “The Flower Hill Gang.” When she wasn’t working she enjoyed crocheting, sitting on her front porch, visiting with her neighbors and faithfully reading the Bible.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
