Lois Ethel  Earhart
Lois Ethel Earhart, 91, of Bicknell, IN, formerly of Casey, IL, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at The Lodge of Wabash Nursing Home, Vincennes, IN. She was born February 13, 1923 in Casey, IL, one of sixteen children born to Harry Franklin Davidson and Belva Jane Beasley Davidson. On May 28, 1949, she married Carrol R. Earhart in Marshall, IL. He passed away on June 4, 2010.
Lois is survived by sons, Steve Earhart and wife Vickie of Vincennes, IN and Randy Earhart and wife Beryl of Bicknell, IN; daughter, Nancy Earhart of Bicknell, IN; grandchildren Cory Earhart of Bicknell, IN, Stacy Earhart of Mt Vernon, IN, Crystal Earhart of Indianapolis, IN, Nicole Campbell of Brownsburg, IN and Jamie Dooley of Casey, IL; step grandchild, Leah Chanley of Vincennes, IN; great grandchildren, Macy, Mallory, Molly, Lauren and Kristin Earhart, Courtney Richardson, Blake Campbell, and Brayden and Devin Dooley; and step great grandchild, Lydian Chanley. Also surviving are brother, David Davidson of Oakridge, TN; sisters, Ann Crites and husband Frank of Casey, IL, Joan Crites of Oblong, IL, and Janice Crites of Casey, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Donald E. Earhart in 1992; brothers, Burris Jean, Tom, George, Theron Lee and Marion “Pete” Davidson; sisters, Lucille Spraker, Dorthea Arnold, Catherine Arnold, Hazel Redman, Pauline Winterowd , Maxine Howe and an infant granddaughter, Michele Marie Earhart.
Mrs. Earhart attended the Casey White Oak Church of God. As a young woman, Lois was employed by the Shoe Factory & Hotel Delight in Casey. She later worked at the Red Shed Restaurant as a cook. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sitting on her porch and visiting with family & friends, and spoiling her grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL with Rev. Dan Ledley officiating. Burial will follow immediately at the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
