Lola Muriel (Easton)   Farrell
Lola Muriel (Easton) Farrell, 100 years of age, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.

Lola was born April 7, 1913 on a farm in Clarke County, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Amy (Carlen) Easton. She married James P. Farrell on April 21, 1939. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, parents, three brothers; Charles, Wayne and Clifford Leon Easton, and two sisters: Doris Easton and Hazel (Easton) Canniff, two step-brothers; Robert and Fred Wolfe, and one step-sister; Freda Wolfe.

Lola is survived by her son, William (Carol) Farrell of Casey, her daughter, Marilyn (David) Stopek of Highland Park, IL.

Seven grandchildren; William Farrell, Peg Fannin, Michael (Christina) Farrell, Mary (Mike) Applegate, Sarah (Scott) Hirsch, Amanda (Alan) Brooks, Shayna (Mark) Fullarton.

Fourteen great-grandchildren; William Farrell (Rachel Martin), James Farrell, Megan (Blair) Klimek, Anna Fannin (Marcus Jones), Kelly McNamara, Nathaniel Farrell, Dillon (Crystal) Farrell, Zachary Farrell, Colleen Farrell, Kathleen Farrell, Cecilia (Timothy) Colwell, Ian Applegate, Harry Hirsch and Sidney Fullarton.

Six great-great-grandchildren; Patrick and Liam Klimek, Jacob Boldi, William McNamara, Jack and Kane Farrell.

Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey with the Reverend Jon McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 North Central Avenue, Casey, IL.

Lola was a homemaker who loved gardening and baking. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Casey and past president of the Rebecca Lodge.
