Stephen Lee Applegate, 60, of Champaign, IL formerly of the Westfield, IL area passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home. He was born October 7, 1953 in Champaign, IL the son of Richard Gene Applegate and Wanda Fern Stephen Applegate.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas Applegate of Danville, IL; granddaughter, Angel Applegate of Danville, IL; uncle, Wayne Stephen of Westfield, IL; aunts, Madge Waltrip of Charleston, IL; Mary Strader of Lafayette, IN and Edie Applegate of Casey, IL; special friend, Barbara Stark of Danville, IL; family friend, Donya Sue Newell and family of Tolono, IL; cousins, Ron Stephen of Westfield, IL; Dianna (Kevin) D’Arcy of Westfield, IL; Carol (Jim) Roberts of Westfield, IL; Sherry Kamp of St. Louis, MO; Barry Kamp of Palm Desert, CA, Mark Strader of Lafayette, IN, Scott Applegate of Casey, IL, Rod Applegate of Sparks, NV and Tim Applegate of Pawnee, IL and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles and aunts.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL.
