Dorothy Ann Janney, 81, of Casey, IL, formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 6:11 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born April 29, 1932 in Paris, IL, the daughter of Roy McKinley Williams and Gertrude Hickle Williams. On February 6, 1954 she married Richard “Dick” Arlen Janney in Marshall, IL. He passed away on January 26, 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Inskeep and husband Jim of Greenup, IL and Denise Hunsaker and Steve Evans of Martinsville, IL, brother, Dean Williams of Orlando, FL, three sisters, Ella Marie Wallace of Livingston, IL, Melva Bell of Hume, IL and Mary Richardson of Casey, IL, four grandchildren,Eric Inskeep and wife Barbara of Greenup, IL, Leslie Seaton and husband Wylie of Martinsville, IL, Brandon Hunsaker and wife Michaela of Lansing, MI and Beth Hunsaker of Denver, CO; three great grandchildren, Megan Inskeep and Addison and Ava Seaton and nieces and nephews, Brittany Evans and Lindsay Evans and her daughter, Olivia. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Earl, Allen, Don and Carl Williams and sister, Beulah Tomasino.
Mrs. Janney retired in 2006 as a Certified Nurse Aide after working at Burnside Community Health Center in Marshall, IL and Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. She previously worked at TRW in Casey, IL. Dorothy loved her grandchildren. She loved to tend to her flowers and gardening and was a gentle, sweet caring person, who would go out of her way to help others.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Markwell Funeral Home, 2oo N. Central Ave., Casey, IL with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
