Condolence: Rebecca and Rob,

Words are inadequate to express the deep sadness that we, at ACFA, feel in these times of bereavement. Charlotte was not just the mother of our own board Vice Chair, Rebecca Gelinas, but she was, herself, a true supporter of ACFA through numerous donations. Thanks to Charlotte’s altruism and generosity, ACFA’s children remained happy throughout the years. We miss her deeply, and are all grieving with you. May she rest in eternal peace!

Condolence: To Becky and family, I was so sad to hear of Charlee's illness and recent passing. Although I haven't been in touch with her for years,
I remember her with much fondness. We worked together in the office at Camp Thunderbird way back when I was just in my late teens and she was a few years older. She was such a great friend who made our jobs and off time so much fun, with much laughter. What a positive person she was, with a smile for everyone. Even though I was a few years younger than "Charlee", she took me under her wing and helped me to feel like I was an integral part of the wonderful group of staff that was so enjoyable to be with. She was always fun, warm and caring and an exceptional person to have on staff at Thunderbird. My heart goes out to you, Becky, and the rest of the family. It is not easy to lose your mother at any age. I hope your memories help you through your grieving process. You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. I am thankful that "Charlee" is now at peace.

Fondly,

Carol Sigoloff

Condolence: Becky and Family--Charlotte was a wonderful person. Louanna and I first met her at NIU while I (Max) was also getting my Master's in Business Education. We've remained friends these many years sharing emails, cards, and so forth. A really fine lady. Our fullest sympathy--Max and Louanna Jaeger

Condolence: Charlotte, you had such a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you for all those forwarded, LOL e-mail; your side-splitting stories of family and experiences; and memories of the two of us climbing to the top of the Washington Monument.(I don't remember if we actually made it the top but, when I see a picture of the Monument, I think of you.) What a trip that was chaperoning the YHS senior class on their trip to Washington, DC and New York city.(1964?)I have so many wonderful memories of teaching with you at Yorkville High and our restaurant luncheon get-togethers with K,M,& M after we all retired. Your passing leaves a hole in our hearts. Peace dear friend.
