James Owen Pine, 88, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Burnsides Community Health Center, Marshall, IL. He was born September 23, 1922, in Shiloh Township, Edgar County, IL, the son of Frederick Jacob Pine and Laura Edith Waller Pine.

Survivors include his brothers, Alvin Pine of Marengo, IL and Clyde Pine and wife Carol of Marshall, IL; brother in law, Walter Wallace and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lee Pine, Estel Pine; sister, Marvel Wallace; sisters in law, Patricia Huey Pine, Mildred Kuykendall Pine, Linda Huey Pine and Juanita Hall Pine.

Mr. Pine worked for Flowers Sales and Service in Marshall, IL. He worked in the warehouse where he assembled and delivered farm equipment.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL with Brother Lynn Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
