Danny "Dan" Lee Ault, 67, of Pinehurst, NC, formerly of Casey and Mattoon, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his home. Dan was born December 5, 1940 in Casey, IL, the son of John L. Ault and Naomi Hazel Davidson Ault. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Northway) Ault of Pinehurst, NC; daughter, Danelle Petero and her husband, Clay; grandchildren, Megan and Nick Petero, of Pinehurst, NC; brother, Ron Ault and his wife, Lois of Hurricane, WV; and his sister-in-law, Patricia (Spraggins) Ault of Farmers Branch, TX. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Naomi (Davidson) Ault; his brother, Don Ault; and his nephew, Mike Ault.

Dan was a 1959 Casey High School graduate. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Engineering. Dan retired from Peterson American Corporation as Vice President and General Manager in Greenville, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420. A gathering for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home.
