Steven Wayne Alier, 47, of Casey, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010. He was born on December 10, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of James R. Alier and Julia O. Dafeldecker Alier. On January 13, 1996, he married Sherri Remlinger in Martinsville, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Sherri of Casey, IL; sons, Steven W. Alier II and wife Holly of Belleville, IL, James Alier of Swansea, IL, Adam Lovell of Mattoon, IL, Skyler Shelton of Casey, IL; grandsons, Reilly Alier and William Lovell; mother, Julia Alier of Martinsville, IL; brother, Scott Alier and wife Jill of Neoga, IL; sister, Jaime Spittler and husband Lee of Hoffman, IL; mother-in-law, Patricia Wells of Martinsville, IL; sisters-in-law, Karla Martino and husband Wayne and Janet Gross, all of Martinsville, IL; nieces and nephews, Gary, James, and Sean Gross, Chelsea, Cassie and Brandon Martino, R.J. Alier, and Mabron and Isabella Spittler. He was preceded in death by his father and good friend, Jeffrey “Hoser” Petitjean.

Steve was co-owner with John Blade and computer tech for AB Computers in Greenup, IL. He was a Navy Veteran. Steve loved to fish, hunt, and ride his motorcycle.

At the family’s request, services will remain private.
