Eva Mae Owen, 84, of Marshall, IL passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Burnsides Community Health Center, Marshall, IL. She was born September 22, 1926, in Clark County, IL, the daughter of Dewey E. Remlinger and Romona Bailey Remlinger. On August 8, 1948 she married Roy Ellsworth Owen; he passed away on November 18, 1974.


Survivors include her son, Lee Remlinger and wife Juanita of Casey, IL; daughter, Karen Jones and husband John of Bridgeport, IL; brothers, Jim Remlinger and wife Joan of Marshall, IL, Paul Remlinger and wife Velma of Marshall, IL and Johnny Remlinger and wife Vicki of Marshall, IL; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cecilia June Owen and brothers, Cliff Remlinger and Bill Remlinger.


Eva was a homemaker and had previously worked at Tom’s Café in Marshall IL. She was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church, Marshall, IL.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery, Marshall, IL. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
