Wanda June Robey, 88, of Greenup, IL passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 25, 1928 in Yale, IL, the daughter of Berl Emil Collins and Mary Louisa Hickox Collins. On July 2, 1945 she married Leonard Herbert Robey in Marshall, IL. He passed away on December 23, 2015.
Survivors include son, Michael Leonard Robey of Lehi, UT; daughters, Connie Jean Sullivan of Greenup, IL and Mary Ann Funk and husband Harold of Casey, IL; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry Robey, son in law, Rodney Sullivan, brother, Edward Collins, and sisters, Norma Jean Campbell, Eva Adeline Farley and Anna Lee Collins.
Wanda was a member of the Casey Church of Christ in Casey. She was a retired factory worker from McQuay and SKF in Casey. Wanda played piano and sang with Collins Girls for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother, and family was everything to her. She was an extraordinary cook and had a great sense of humor even to the end.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Fortkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
