Albert Lynn  Keigley
Albert Lynn Keigley, age 74, of Ashmore, IL passed away at 11:06 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born December 28, 1942 in Ashmore, IL, the son of Charles Albert Keigley and Cecil Irene Childress Keigley. On January 19, 1963 he married Frances Ann Porter in Palestine, IL.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Frances Keigley of Ashmore, IL; children, Laura (Ed) Shiffler of Anderson, SC; Steve (Shellie) Keigley of Westfield, IL; Lynda (Steven) Crocker of Framingham, MA and Holly (Trey) Wright of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Victoria, Abby, Sam, Mary and Elijah Shiffler; Adam and Andrew Kerrick; Levi Keigley; Hannah and Kayleah Foltz; Nick and Michael Davis; Michael Crocker and Willy, Justin and Triesten Wright; great grandchildren, Kourtney, Emily, Cade, Trinity and one on the way (Ruby); big sister, Betty Sorensen of Charleston, IL; special friend, Will Phipps; special nieces, Karen (Randy) Jennings, Sherrol Casner and other nephews and nieces and his special pets, Tinker, Lilly and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Willis Keigley and Bill Keigley and sisters, Leona Allen and Lucille Matthews.

Albert worked as a mechanic for several years and worked at Rural King. He was fondly known as the “lawn mower man” at Rural King. He enjoyed fixing things and was always looking for something to tinker with. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Fix It” in the family. Albert enjoyed watching westerns and always had a good story to tell. He had a heart of gold; was always smiling and loved to tease. He was very proud of his family and they will miss him greatly.

A time of gathering to celebrate Albert’s life will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Ashmore Presbyterian Church, 201 N. Illinois St., Ashmore, IL. Inurnment will be in the Ashmore Cemetery, Ashmore, IL at a later date.
