Sandra Lee (Ashby) Winnett, age 69, went home to be with the Lord at 12:40 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017. She was living at the Heartland Manor Nursing Home in Casey, IL at the time of her passing. Sandi as she was known was born November 5, 1947 at the old Charleston Hospital in Charleston, IL. Her parents were Alva Russell Ashby and Ruby Maxine McNamer Ashby. Sandi was married to Clifford Sylvester Winnett on December 21, 1968. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1984.

Surviving is one brother, Douglas Everett Ashby and his wife Angela Ray (Winnett) Ashby of Charleston, IL; son, Jeffrey Shane Winnett and his wife Teresa Lee Ann (Stuart) Winnett of Casey, IL; daughter, Shawna Rae (Winnett) Ridgley and her husband Joshua Ray Ridgley of Westfield, IL; stepson, Billy Eugene Winnett and wife Colleen Winnett of FL; stepdaughter, Sherry Christine (Winnett) Sloan and her husband Glen Sloan of Charleston, IL; grandchildren Christiana Lynn Winnett of Altamont, IL; Brianna Marie Winnett of Effingham, IL; Nathaniel Douglas Winnett of Casey, IL; Wade Allen Winnett of Casey, IL; Racheal Renee Ridgley of Casey, IL; Jacob Ryan Ridgley and Quinton Raymond Thomas Ridgley both of Westfield, IL; step grandchildren, Ariana Rochelle Cherry of Arthur, IL; Zachary Cole Cherry and wife Lindsey of SC; Justin Sloan of Charleston, IL; Tasha Nicole (Smyser) Shirley and husband Micah of Oakland, IL and Whitney Renae (Winnett) Hedgmon and husband Eric of FL; two great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Her parents, husband; daughter, Tracy Maxine Winnett and a step grandchild, Kyle Eugene Winnett preceded her in death.
Sandi loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved life and had a great sense of humor. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids very much. Family was of great importance to her and she loved to have them around. In her younger days she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and cross stitch work. For several years Sandi enjoyed doing genealogy. Sandi loved the color purple. In High School she enjoyed acting in plays.
Sandi directed a lot of vacation bible schools; she worked with the ladies missionaries and held a lot of bible studies in her home. She enjoyed different types of collectables such as cows, snowmen and tea sets. Sandi enjoyed gospel and country music.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Salisbury Cemetery, Hutton, IL with Pastor Allen Ebbler officiating. A memorial service and time of sharing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 US Hwy 40, Casey, IL. A visitation will be held from 5 – 6 pm prior to the service.
