Obituary for Andrea (Andy) Elaine Rue

Andrea (Andy) Elaine Rue
Andrea “Andy” Elaine Rue, age 59, of Casey, Il. passed away at 7:41 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born February 9, 1958 in Terre Haute, In., the daughter of Alonzo R. "Buck" Rue and Alice Marie (Ripple) Rue.

Andy touched so many people in so many ways. Maybe she delivered your morning paper, or cut your grass. Chances are she sold you a snow cone at the baseball diamond concession stand, or maybe she played softball with you, or even coached you in softball. Perhaps you went to school with her, hung out with her, or had the chance to work with her. We all knew that she loved to make you smile, but little did she know all it really took was just her smile.

She worked at the Casey Reporter for over twenty years, and has been with the Casey-Westfield school district for over ten years. She enjoyed playing softball for many years. Because of her love for the game, she became a coach for the girls’ softball league in Casey.
