Obituary for Pat Simpson Sr.

Pat Simpson Sr., age 86, of Casey, IL passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. He was born April 30, 1930 in Hoguetown, Clark County, IL the youngest child of Milo and Pearl Nash Simpson. He retired from Marathon Pipeline Company in 1986 with 37 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #603 of Martinsville for over 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, the former Ada Napier; daughters, Sandra (Chuck) Hires of Deland, FL and Nancy (Bud) Followell of Shelburn, IN; sons, Pat (Cindy) Simpson Jr. of Casey, IL and Scott (Karen) Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons Kyle Simpson of Casey, Brandon (Veronica) Simpson and great granddaughter Layka Simpson of Marshall, IL; step granddaughter, Shannon Kramer of Fort Myers, FL; step great granddaughters, Ashley McDaniel of Ft Myers, FL, and Jessica Massey of Gray, TN.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Terri, his parents; brothers, Tom, Lloyd, Gerald, Woodie, John and Leon and sisters, Helen Templin, Ruth Bays, Eliza Ruley, Myrtle Bowen, Inez Garrett and nieces and nephews.
Before his health failed, Pat enjoyed traveling, spending time in Florida in the winter months, playing golf and gardening. He was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
