Juanita Jean Remlinger, age 70, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:37 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born November 16, 1946 in Casey, IL the daughter of Glen Waldon Boyd and Geneva June Shafer Boyd. On September 12, 1965 she married Lee Remlinger, Sr. in Marshall, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Remlinger, Sr. of Casey, IL; son, Lee (Kim) Remlinger, Jr. of Casey, IL; sisters, Nora M. (William H.) Williams of Casey, IL and Glenda S. (Russ) Letner of Casey, IL; brother in law, Vern (Irene) Waller of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Cathy (Timothy) Remlinger of Texas, Keithen (Paige) Remlinger of Greenup, IL, Kayla (William) Wilson of Casey, IL, Heather Remlinger of Casey, IL, Gunner (Jerrica) Remlinger of Morrisonville, IL; great grandchildren, Emma Padrick, Laila Wilson, Leo Wilson, Mia Stotlar, Barrett Remlinger, nephews, nieces and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Waller.

Juanita accepted the Lord at the age 13. She was a member of the Casey First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for preschoolers, vacation Bible school and helped with AWANAS. Juanita loved attending Sunday school and Wednesday Senior Adult Inspirational Hour. Since 2002 Juanita had worked as a teacher’s helper and assistant at Monroe Elementary School in Casey, IL. After forty years of babysitting she chased her lifelong dream to attend “Nanny” school and went back to babysitting. She enjoyed caring for elderly and children with special needs. Juanita visited all three senior living facilities in Casey every Sunday and called Bingo for Simple Blessings. Juanita had given over 30 gallons of blood with the American Red Cross. Juanita had a forgiving heart; she said “a forgiving heart is being a good Christian.”

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 101 E. Alabama St., Casey, IL with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
