Patsy Rosalie Parker, age 92, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Heartland Nursing Center with her family by her side. She was born June 27, 1924 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Bruce Daughhetee and Lucinda Hammond Daughhetee. On April 25, 1942 she married Lewis E. “Lokey” Parker in Joplin, MO. He passed away on December 25, 1996.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Carroll) Decker and Peggy (Brad) Hickox of Casey, IL; sister, Wanda Bosler of Casey IL; grandchildren, Shelli, Denise, Cindy, Aaron, Cassie and Devan; great grandchildren, Toby, Brant, Adam, Ben, Hunter, Summer, Cole, Calin, Blake, Owen, Kora, Parker and Raegan; great great grandchildren, Gracie, Sawyer, Laylah, Elianna, Quinn and Scarlett and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Dwane, Junior and Wendell Daughhetee and sister, Mildred Umbarger.
Patsy was a 1942 graduate of Casey High School. She previously worked at the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory, Martinsville State Bank and retired from the Clark County ASCS office. She was a member of the Martinsville Bible Church, where she volunteered with kids in the AWANA program. Patsy was a very meticulous and talented lady; she enjoyed sewing, making alterations and cleaning. One of her greatest joys was providing her family with the many items she made for them.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 pm on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm prior to the service on Friday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
