Inez Loleta “Chub” Coble, age 89, of Casey, IL passed away at 11:27 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL. She was born October 13, 1927 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Glenn Jones and Edith E. Smith Jones. On January 6, 1951 she married John W. Coble in Casey, IL. He passed away on May 16, 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Carl) McKown of Decatur, IL; grandson, Kevin McKown of Decatur, IL; granddaughter, Katelyn McKown of Decatur, IL; brother, Larry “Casey” Jones of TN and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Russell, Ron and Glenn Jones and sisters, Lois Ellen Biggs and Eula Schultz.
Chub was a 1945 graduate of Casey High School. She was a co-owner of Coble Dry Cleaners with her husband John for many years. Chub was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church, Casey VFW Women’s Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She spent the last 5years with her extended family and wonderful caregivers at Simple Blessings in Casey, IL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
