Evelyn Lou  Wilhoit
Evelyn Lou Wilhoit, age 86, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 2:16 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born April 24, 1930 in New Providence, IA the daughter of Roy Creson and Meta Lamer Creson. On November 17, 1951 she married Darrel Wilhoit in Delaware County, IN; he passed away on April 12, 2002.

Survivors include sons, Steven Lee (Deborah) Wilhoit of Chesterfield, MO; Scott Wayne (Marlene) Wilhoit of Martinsville, IL and Stanley Roy (Becky) Wilhoit of McLean, IL; daughters, Susan Elizabeth (Ed) Roberts of East Alton, IL; Sarah Jane (Doug) Michael of Bloomington, IL and Shari Ann (Larry) of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Jay (Sarah) Wilhoit, Jacob Wilhoit, Jordan (Ashley) Wilhoit, Joy (Doug) Roberson, Jay Roberts, Karla (Charles) Medrano, Wesley (Mindy) Wilhoit, Kyle (Katie) Wilhoit, Andrea (Michael) Giordano, Nathan (Joanna) Michael, Joshua (Katherine) Michael, Mandi (Jordan) Thompson, Trey (Julie) Spittler, Tanya Wilhoit, Wade Wilhoit, Gavin Wilhoit, Kalie Wilhoit and Brianna Wilhoit; twenty great grandchildren and sister, Bernice King of Addison, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Donald Creson and Duane Creson.

Mrs. Wilhoit was a homemaker. She attended the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Evelyn enjoyed gardening; she was the family historian and was always taking care of everyone. She was a wonderful neighbor, always helping out. She loved spending time with her family especially keeping track of the grandkids.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6492 E 400th Rd., Martinsville, IL 62442.
