Norma Maxine  Brewer
Norma Maxine Brewer, age 84, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:52 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL.

She was born November 21, 1931 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Elmer Donald Delp and Sarah Melessia Leona Hires Delp. On May 22, 1952 she married Donald J. Brewer in Robinson, IL. He passed away on September 15, 2000.

Survivors include son, Donald J. (D.J.) Brewer, Jr. of Casey, IL; daughters, Mescal Winans of Casey, IL and Sarah Sandiford of Toledo, IL; grandchildren, Lili Winans, Zachary (Amber) Winans, Olivia Judson, Jordan Brewer, Alyssa (Alex) Shepard, Vanessa Paul and Johnna Paul; great grandchildren, Emmalee Anne Rhoades and Liam Keith Morton and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Ralph, Harold, Garrett and infant Roy Delp and sisters, Wanda Stewart, Carolyn Weaver and Shirley Delp.

Maxine was a 1950 graduate of Casey High School. She was a member of the Casey VFW Women’s Auxiliary and Casey Moose Lodge. Maxine loved to play Bingo and traveled frequently with her Bingo friends to play. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and fishing. Maxine would scout for deer although she would never hunt. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Oakley officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
