Obituary for Frances Virginia Deahl

Frances Virginia Deahl, age 95, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:10 am on Sunday August 7, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL.

She was born September 19, 1920 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Harry Maynard Clark and Mary Jane “Mollie” Gardner Clark. On March 20, 1940 she married Wilburn Rex Deahl, Sr. in Warrenton, MO. He passed away on June 15, 1980.

Survivors include sons, Tom (Mary) Deahl of Martinsville, IL; Michael (Carol) Deahl of Ocala, FL and Wilburn (Harriet) Deahl, Jr. of Cibolo, TX; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Hank and Thomas Clark and sisters, Louise Melton and Geneva Montgomery.

Mrs. Deahl was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Frances enjoyed knitting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Wil Deahl officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
