Neil Edgar Perisho, age 79, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 5:22 am on Wednesday May, 25, 2016 at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born on September 20, 1936 in Coles County, IL, the son of Joseph Allen Perisho and Gladys Miller Perisho. On August 10, 1968, he married Verna Lou Ray in Carmi, IL.

Neil is survived by his wife, Verna Perisho of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Julie Adkins of Martinsville, IL; sons, Daniel Perisho of Paris, IL and Cory Perisho of Danville, IL; brother, Dale (Shirley) Perisho of Newton, IL; great grandsons, Joey and Nathan Perisho who lived with Neil and Verna and five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lisa Wilson, grandson, Tony Washburn and granddaughter, Heather Perisho.

Neil was a truck driver for Schnieder, Mason Dixon Truck Lines, Larry Hickox Trucking and hauled grain for Forsyth Farms. He belonged to the Teamsters Union, Sportsman Club and attended the Martinsville Baptist Church. He loved to fish, bird hunt and enjoyed all sports and knew sports trivia.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Thursday June 2, 2016 at 5:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 pm prior to the service at the church. Brother Justin Sweitzer will be officiating.
