Henry Albert  Mericle
Henry Albert Mericle, age 10, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 9:23 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL. He was born July 21, 2005 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Jonathan Edwards Mericle and Teresa Kay Winnett Lipscomb.

He is survived by his mother, Teresa Lipscomb of Martinsville, IL; father, Jon Mericle of Mt. Vernon, IL; uncles and aunts, Kelly Winnett and her daughter Charmista Dawn of Minnesota; Albert Sylvester Jackson Winnett III of Minnesota; Karla Maupin of Charleston, IL; Don Anthony Mericle and Lisa Anne Hickerson both of Tulsa, OK; many cousins, friends and his loving and caring teachers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Sonny and Dorothy M. (Brazzell) Winnett and Don Albert and Dorothy Elizabeth (Kahl) Mericle.

Henry was a student in the Martinsville School district attending school at Casey Westfield Monroe Elementary School. He loved Hot Wheels cars, the Cat in the Hat book, the Alphabet; all kinds of music and spending time with his family and friends. Henry’s favorite movie was Disney’s “CARS”. The favorite part of Henry’s day was attending school; he loved riding the bus and cherished the time he spent with his very special teachers and the caring staff of his school.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Greenwell Funeral Home, P.O. Box 387, Martinsville, IL 62442.
