Frank Arthur “Art” Tichenor, age 81, of Brazil, IN formerly of Westfield, IL passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the home of his daughter.
He was born March 23, 1935 in Westfield, IL the son of Wayne Edward Tichenor and Jessie Thursa White Tichenor. On July16, 1961 he married Judith Ann Morton in Westfield, IL. She passed away on January 26, 2005.
Survivors include his sons, Joseph Hraban of Chicago Heights, IL and Wayne (Lori) Tichenor of Sauk Village, IL; daughter, Susan Piribauer of Brazil, IN; grandchildren, Megan Hraban, Benjamin Piribauer and Sarah Piribauer; brother, Edward Tichenor of Savoy, IL and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judy and sister, Thursa Smith.
Art was a 1953 graduate of Westfield High School. He was a US Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne. Art was a retired construction worker and drywaller. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Westfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Westfield United Methodist Church, 225 S. Madison St., Westfield, IL.
