Robert Michael “Mike” Whaley, 56, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:38 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born December 17, 1959 in Rushville, IL, the son of Robert Wayne Whaley and Darla May Hendricks Whaley.

Survivors include twin sons, Waylon (Lindsay) Whaley and Cody (Lena) Whaley of Casey, IL; son, Barrett Whaley of Plainfield, IN; parents, Bob and Darla Whaley of Meadview, AZ; brothers, Todd (Denise) Whaley of Casey, IL and Greg (Shelli) Whaley of Kingman, AZ; sister, Kristi Darling of Meadview, AZ; grandchildren, Maddux, Chase, Kamryn and Pyper and nephews and nieces, Megan Whaley, Hunter Whaley, Summer Whaley and Brant Burris. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and nephew, Jason Whaley.

Mike was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School. He worked for Goben Oil Co. for over 18 years in fuel transportation and as a mechanic. He later worked construction for Bolin Enterprises for over 12 years. Mike was a proud Chicago Cubs fan and an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

At his request private family services will be held.
