Mary Etta Finney, age 88, of Casey, IL passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born August 2, 1927 in Ashmore, IL the daughter of Luther Martin Hall and Mabel Estella Sublette Hall. On August 2, 1942 she married Eugene “Gene” Frank Finney in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on January 28, 2010.
Survivors include sons, Richard Finney of Fairbanks, AK and Bradley Finney of Casey, IL; daughter, Marilyn Ross of Casey, IL; brother, Dale (Lucy) Hall of Nashville, TN; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Robert Hall.
Mary and Gene moved to Casey in 1970 after living in Mendota, IL. She was a co-owner and bookkeeper of Gene’s Auto Sales. Mary attended the Willis Chapel Church and loved to travel on mini trips and go to flea markets.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. prior the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
