Lois L. Ashley, 87, of Casey, IL, passed away at 5:01 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her home. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Cumberland County, IL, the daughter of Clifford Kuhn and Murl Darling Kuhn. On June 30, 1961 she married Hubert L. Ashley in Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2000.

She is survived by sister, Connie Kimble of Greenup, IL; brother-in-law, Joe Kimble of Greenup, IL; sisters-in-law, Wanda Kuhn of Casey, IL and Betty Kuhn of Greenup, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Virginia Sidwell and Norma DePauw, and brothers, Max Kuhn and Ronnie (Ted) Kuhn.

Lois was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Casey. She retired from the Shoe Factory after 24 years.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Ellis and Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service time of 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
