Harold “Wayne” Lee, 78, of Casey, IL passed away at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his home. He was born September 19, 1937 in Marshall, IL the son of Russell Lee and Victoria “Mae” Turner Lee. On August 5, 1975 he married Ella Jayne Vail in Greenup, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Ella “Jayne” Lee of Casey, IL; daughter, Stephanie (Peter) Wink of Schaumburg, IL; son, Christopher (Megan) Lee of Elk Grove Village, IL; stepsons, Wesley (Debbie) Edwards of Toledo, IL and Bryan (Shelley) Edwards of Vandalia, IL; stepdaughters, Kimberly Hubler of Vandalia, IL and Stephanie Lucas of Casey, IL; brother, Roger Lee of Riverside, CA; sister, Margie Kesler of Sebeka, MN; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald and David Lee and sister, Edna Tracy.
Wayne was active in the US Navy for over twenty years. He then served in the US Navy reserves for another ten years. He later drove for Hickox Trucking of Casey, IL until his retirement. Wayne was a member of the Casey First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Brooke Davis officiating. Military honors will follow by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
