Geraldine “Jerry” I. Miller, 93, of Casey, IL passed away 3:19 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born April 26, 1922 in Casey, IL the daughter of Harry Roan and Maple Anna Swim Roan. On September 23, 1951 she married W.O. Miller in Henderson, KY. He passed away on April 2, 1965.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Ricky) Lindsay of Bolingbrook, IL and Judy Miller of Casey, IL; granddaughters, Kimberlee Lindsay and Amber Lindsay; grandson, Blake Miller; great grandsons, Markus, Christian and Justin; sister, Elois (Keith) Roan Holt of Terre Haute, IN; many nieces and nephews and close friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Danny Miller; brothers, Ernest Roan and Dale Roan; sisters, Blanche Hunt and Pauline Lippincott; and nephew, Joe Holt.
Jerry worked as a cook at the Monroe Elementary School for fourteen years. She later worked as an adult caregiver for many years. Jerry was a member of the First Christian Church of Casey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Jan Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) prior to the service on Wednesday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
