Lula Bell Lemar, 79, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:41 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL.

She was born February 18, 1936 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Ralph Wheeler Craig and Edna Louise Mosher Craig. On July 3, 1952 she married Clarence Eugene Lemar in Greenup, IL. He passed away on February 16, 1980.

Survivors include daughter, Cindy (Kerry) Moore of Casey, IL; sons, Danny Lemar of Greenup, IL; Jack (Cindy) Lemar of Jewett, IL; Steve (Evelyn) Lemar of Neoga, IL; brothers, Ronnie Craig of Casey, IL; Bill Craig of Casey, IL; David Meissner of Pierron, IL; Fred Gernigan of Toledo, IL; Darrell Craig of Abilene, TX; sisters, Carolyn Keller of Casey, IL; Sandy Ganz of Greenup, IL; Sharon Meisnner of Centralia, IL; grandchildren, Veronica (Tyler) Wright, Mallory Moore (Josh Vernon), Alisha (Clint) Walk, Max Moore, Jack Lemar, Jr., Donte Blair, Jacob Haga, Mandy Lemar, Kim Craig, Shelby Craig, Marya Lemar, Mickie Hodge and Shelly (Dave) Statler and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Lester Lee Craig, Lloyd Craig; sisters, Erma Kemper, Wilma Cook, Mary Phillippi, Alice Craig, Donnie Jean Phillippi, Connie Sowers and granddaughter, Amy Beth Moore in 1983.

Mrs. Lemar was a homemaker and enjoyed working at the Auction House Café in Casey, IL. She liked the “Thrift Shop” and loved to collect knick-knacks. Lula Bell enjoyed attending and hosting garage sales. She could always find a bargain, even at her own sales. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and their families.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery, Neoga, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
