Michael Stephen Allison, 46, of Casey, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his home. He was born October 22, 1967 in Lawton, OK, the son of Stephen L. Allison and Janet R. Charnetzki Allison.
Survivors include his mother, Jan Allison-Seed and husband Bob of Tuscola, IL; sister, Suzanne Allison Davis and husband Philip of Greenville, IL; nieces, Tiffany and Brittany Davis; grandmother, Joyce Allison of Tuscola, IL; step sister, Sara Seed of Champaign, IL; step brothers, Scott Seed of Orlando, FL and Sean (Staci) Seed and their children, Noah, Benjamin, Matthew and Joseph of Deerfield, IL; sister in law, Sarah M. Allison Prescott and husband Kelly of Mattoon, IL; uncle, Jim (Glenda) Allison of Lincoln, IL; aunts, Ann Carroll, Melody (Jay) Barber and Mary (Jeff) Ogden, all of Tuscola, IL; cousins, friends and his beloved cats, Marci and Casper. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Allison and Carl and Marie Charnetzki, father, Steve Allison and brother, Troy E. Allison.
Michael was a 1986 graduate of Casey High School. He graduated with his associate degree from Lake Land College, where he was also a manager of the basketball team. Michael was employed at Quad Graphics in Effingham, IL for the past 25 years. He faithfully attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Casey, IL. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed antique cars, attending car shows and showing his 1986 El Camino. Michael loved spending time at the lake and enjoyed water sports, especially boating on his WaveRunner. He spent many hours in the outdoors, snowmobiling, riding his four wheeler, biking and mowing. Michael never met a stranger and was a true friend to all. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 US Hwy 40, Casey, IL with Pastor Todd Holman and Rev. David Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
