Obituary for Mary Lou (Kelly) Allison

Mary Lou (Kelly)  Allison
Mary Lou Allison (81) passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 12:09 AM at Memorial Hospital in Springfield Illinois following complications after surgery. She was born April 15, 1933 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Preston Lee Kelly and Mona Fasig Kelly.
She is survived by children, Brenda Kuhn and husband Doug of Casey, IL; Gary (Buck) Montgomery of Casey, IL; Terry Montgomery and wife Denise of Auburn, IL and Roger Montgomery; daughters-in-law, Mary Montgomery Washburn of Casey, IL and Glenda Montgomery of Martinsville, IL; stepchildren, Ron Allison and wife Cindy of Texas, Rob (Squid) Allison and wife Debbie of Casey, IL and Jama Brewer of Casey, IL; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Allison; sons, Steve and Mark Montgomery; siblings, Raymond Hainley, Betty Dean Hills and Wanda Lee Veach; two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mary Lou was a member of the Martinsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Martinsville Bible Church. She graduated as an LPN from Lincoln Trail College in 1975 and worked in the Martinsville and Casey communities as an EMT for 30 years. Mary Lou loved dogs and cats and fed any stray that happened by. She enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardening and birds, especially the hummingbirds that would feed from her flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Martinsville Bible Church with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Moss Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Martinsville Bible Church, 509 E. Ridgelawn Road, Martinsville, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
