Obituary for Shelly Ann Thompson

Shelly Ann   Thompson
Shelly Ann Thompson, 50, of Marshall, IL passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born on August 6, 1963 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of James Wilhoit “Red” Thompson and Marjorie M. Claypool Thompson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Heather Mason and husband Josh and Nicole Hefner and husband Chris, all of Marshall, IL; mother, Marjorie Thompson of Martinsville, IL; two sisters, Virginia (Ginny) Haney and husband Bill of Marshall, IL and Sandra Black and husband Randy of Martinsville, IL; brother, James Randall Thompson and wife Terri of Martinsville, IL; two grandchildren, Taylor and Camden Mason and several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 2002.
Shelly was a registered nurse for over thirty years and worked in the Emergency Room at Union Hospital as a case manager and utilization review. She was able to get her nursing degree while working and raising her family. She was a member of the Martinsville First Baptist Church. Her boxers, Beulah and Allie were her special buddies.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Martinsville First Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Martinsville First Baptist Church, 5 Trotter Lane, Martinsville, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the Martinsville First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 357 Martinsville, IL 62442.
