Robert William Jenkins, 68, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born on January 21, 1945 in Clinton, IN, the son of Benjamin Warren Jenkins and Grace Switzer Jenkins. In 1968, he married Valerie Lou Miller.
Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Valerie Jenkins of Martinsville, IL; sons, Robert Jenkins and wife Tammy of Martinsville, IL and Terry Jenkins and wife Uyen of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Amber Pierson and husband Tylan and Vanessa and Mya Jenkins; sisters, Doris Talbott and husband Bill and Marjorie Shinn, all of Greencastle, IN; brother, Gene Jenkins and wife Lucille of Clinton, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Jenkins and Grace Jenkins Plikerd; brother, Kenneth Jenkins and sister, Joan Jenkins.
Bob was a lifetime barber in Casey, Martinsville, and Toledo, IL. He worked at the James Baber Shop in Casey for over 30 years. He was a member of the Casey Masonic Lodge #0442.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL, with Brother Steve Jenkins and Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Willow Hill, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday night with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
