Carl Junior Erwin, 87, of Casey, IL passed away at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. He was born May 6, 1925 in Hume, IL, the son of Clinton P. “C.P.” Erwin and Rosanna Elizabeth Phillippi Erwin. On March 19, 1955 he married Mary Elizabeth Funk in Moriah, IL. She passed away on April 25, 1994.

Survivors include his brother, James Russell Erwin of Watseka, IL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; brothers, Paul Erwin and Leroy Erwin; half-brothers, Oliver Bennett and Dean Bennett and half-sisters, Grace Perisho and Goldie Kelley.

Carl built trailers for the Trailmobile Corp. in Charleston, IL for fourteen years. He attended the Moriah Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the
Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
