Freda Rogene Yealick, 96, of Casey, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2006 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. She was born January 14, 1910 in Cumberland County, IL the daughter of Lewis Wright and Vallie Flowers Wright. She married Claude H. Yealick on February 14, 1929 in Marshall, IL, he passed away on June 4, 1984.

Survivors include her daughters, Hazel Ellen Veach and husband Earl of Martinsville, IL; Clara Elizabeth Scott and husband Richard of Casey, IL; and Violet Maurine Yealick of Clermont, FL; brother, Forrest Wright of Yale, IL; sister Farrel Gray of Newton, IL, seventeen grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren and nine great great grandchilden. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two sons, Paul Yealick and Merl Yealick, one daughter, Wilda Keeney, son in law Glen Keeney, brother, Thurman Wright, granddaughter, Cheryl Keeney, grandson, David Keeney and great granddaughter, Fatema Keeney.

Mrs. Yealick was a member of the Moriah Church of God. She was a nurses aide for Rude's and Cumberland Nursing Homes and Homecare. She also worked at Casey KFC.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Moriah Church of God, Moriah, IL with Mr. Terry Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in the Mount Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Johnson Twp. Cemetery Fund 4789 E. 300th St., Casey, IL 62420.
