Lena R. Zachary, 84, of Marshall, Illinois passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born August 25, 1924 in Westfield, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Calhoun and Pearl Connelly Calhoun. On July 25, 1942 she married Earl Lloyd Zachary in St. Charles, Missouri.


Survivors include her son Dick Zachary and wife Leanne; son Terry Zachary; daughter Sandra Breese and husband Tom, all of Marshall, Illinois; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.


Mrs. Zachary was a retired nurse after serving over twenty years as an LPN at Burnside Nursing Home.


A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery with Bro. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. There will be no visitation.
