Myrtle June Vickroy, 87, of Charleston, IL formerly of Hazel Dell, IL passed away at 5:42 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. She was born June 29, 1922 in Greenup, IL, the daughter of Charles Obadiah Reynolds and Marietta Warfel Reynolds. On August 5, 1942, she married Harold Clark Vickroy in Chicago, IL. He passed away on January 18, 1985.


Survivors include her son, Steven Vickroy of Hazel Dell, IL and sister, Deloris Reynolds of Bisbee, AZ. She was preceded by her parents, husband, brothers, Calvin and Bernard “Beanie” Reynolds; sisters, Leota Vigliotti, Veva White, Goldie Parotti, Margaret Wages, Waunita Coad and Cleatis Kull.


Mrs. Vickroy was a retired from TRW (Cinch) in Casey, IL. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of God.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenup Cemetery, Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home.
